ABOUT ME

KIA ORA I'm Kim from Aotearoa, New Zealand. Growing up I was exposed to opportunities that led me to learn blacksmithing, which turned into a career in the film industry. In 2000 I was given a dream role, as a freelance blacksmith in the props department on THE LORD OF THE RINGS.

 

My work can be seen in a number of national and international films and local civil projects. In 2015 I spent 6 months in Baku, Azerbaijan stage building for the opening and closing ceremonies of the 1ST EUROPEAN GAMES.

 

In 2018 I contracted as a Health & Safety officer on Bellbird,  and more recently contracted as Health & Safety Supervisor on Ka Whawhai Tonu.
